Blockage issue: Due to the fact that travel band screens are mainly used to intercept suspended solids of fibers and larger particles in wastewater, there may be a risk of blockage, especially when intercepting large amounts of hair and fiber material. Regular cleaning is required to maintain the efficient operation of the equipment.

Flushing system maintenance: Traveling band screens rely on an effective flushing system to remove trapped debris. The flushing water pump and pipeline need to be regularly inspected and maintained to ensure flushing effectiveness and prevent blockage. For example, the outlet pressure of the flushing water pump should not be lower than 0.5 MPa to ensure the flushing effect.

Wear and aging: Long term operation and frequent flushing may cause wear and aging of the orifice plate. It is necessary to regularly check the condition of the orifice plate and replace damaged components in a timely manner.

Motor and transmission system maintenance: The drive motor and reducer need to be regularly inspected to ensure the smooth operation of the transmission system. The protection level of the motor should be IP55 to adapt to humid working environments.

Electrical control cabinet maintenance: The electrical control cabinet is a critical component for operating and monitoring travel band screens. It is necessary to regularly inspect cable connections, control logic, and safety protection devices to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.

Seal inspection: The underwater seals of the equipment need to be regularly inspected to ensure no leaks and maintain good sealing performance. Wear or damage to the seals may result in sewage leakage or infiltration of external water sources.

Cleaning and maintenance convenience: The design of travel band screens should be easy to maintain and clean. For example, the maintenance cover should be lightweight and easy to disassemble for necessary inspection and maintenance.

Equipment durability: Although the design goal of travel band screens is a lifespan of at least 20 years, in practical applications, their durability may be affected by environmental factors, frequency of use, and maintenance quality.

To ensure the long-term stable operation of travel band screens, it is recommended to develop a detailed maintenance plan and conduct regular maintenance and inspections.
